Matt Warner
Asset President
Matt Warner is a seasoned mining professional with extensive experience in operations, maintenance, and material handling. Since beginning his career in 2009 at Cadia Valley Operations in Western Australia, he has held various leadership roles in maintenance, safety, and underground mining.
Matt joined OceanaGold in 2022, where he played a key role in strengthening asset management and continuous improvement across the company's global operations. Under his leadership, his team implemented frameworks that enhanced operational performance and efficiency. He also worked closely with sites to develop OceanaGold’s behavioral-based safety program, OurSafe Behaviors, and advance leadership development initiatives.
In January 2025, Matt was appointed Asset President of Haile Gold Mine. With his deep operational expertise and commitment to building high-performing teams, he is dedicated to driving safety, efficiency, and long-term success at Haile.
Sean Pearce
Project Director - Capital Infrastructure
Sean Pearce has over 30 years of underground mining experience managing underground operations in Australia and the Philippines and is responsible for all Capital Project Development at the Haile Gold Mine. Mr. Pearce joined OceanaGold in 2016 and has a strong track record of successfully managing and developing new underground projects. Mr. Pearce has a Bachelor of Mining Engineering qualification and a Masters in Accountancy.
Nick Riggins
Environmental, EA&SP Manager
Nick Riggins joined Haile Gold Mine in November 2021 with over 10 years experience in coal and metal mining. He most recently served as Environmental Compliance Manager for Arch Coal, Inc. where he excelled in environmental awareness and environmental auditing. Riggins led a subsidiary of Arch called Vindex, which had numerous environmental problems prior to 2012. Under his leadership, Vindex erased multiple issues and improved operations to become one of Arch’s most award-winning sites. Vindex was twice recognized with the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection’s Greenlands Award. Riggins earned a B.S. in Biology in 2002 from West Virginia University.
Craig Stephens
Health and Safety Manager
Craig joined Haile in June 2023 and is responsible for safety, occupational health, and security at the operation. Prior to joining Haile Gold Mine, he was the Director of Safety at Turner Mining Group, responsible for building and overseeing the company’s safety program and all safety activities across the United States. He was previously employed at Haile Gold Mine as a General Foreman and Safety Advisor. Craig has held different roles in the mining industry, including Mine Operations Superintendent and Senior Safety Coordinator, with Newmont and AngloGold Ashanti at the Cripple Creek operation.
Justin Johns
Process Manager
Justin Johns joined Haile as Process Manager in May 2025, returning to the operation after previously serving in Haile’s Process department until 2021. Prior to returning to Haile, Justin spent two years leading OceanaGold’s Waihi operation in New Zealand as General Manager/Asset President. During his tenure, Waihi achieved significant improvements in safety performance and employee culture. Justin brings a strong focus on safety, operational performance and inclusive leadership to Haile’s leadership team.
Joseph Lounsbery
Technical Services Manager
Joseph “Joe” Lounsbery has more than 20 years of experience in the mining industry, serving operational teams in both the United States and Canada. An engineer by trade, Mr. Lounsbery has leveraged his background to provide technical data analysis, planning and leadership support across large operational departments. Mr. Lounsbery joined OceanaGold in 2019. He has a B.S. in Mining Engineering with a minor in Economics from the University of Missouri-Rolla.
Lee Chapman
Manager - Risk
Lee Chapman was promoted to manage the Enterprise Risk Management Program at Haile in March 2023 and has over eight years experience in mining and 15 years in Procurement and Supply Chain. She was the Superintendent of Procurement and Supply Chain for Haile starting with the Underground Project in 2020 and transitioning to managing Haile’s Procurement and Supply Chain Department. Under her leadership, Haile saw a transformation in contract management and supply chain processes.
Lee managed procurement for an underground mining contractor in Australia where she lived for 18 years prior to joining Haile. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Smith College.
Burton Jaillette
Mine Maintenance Manager
Burton was promoted to Mine Maintenance Manager in June 2023 and has over 20 years of experience in maintenance management, mainly with the United States Army. During this time, he developed and optimized global operational maintenance strategies, established effective predictive maintenance programs, and established reliability-centered maintenance programs. He was also integral in setting cost-reduction programs while increasing operational equipment effectiveness. Burton has been with Haile since 2021. He was originally hired as Supply Chain Superintendent.
Jake Largent
Manager - Mining (Underground)
Jake joined Haile Gold Mine in May 2024 with substantial experience working in the mining industry at operations in the western portion of the United States. He served as Underground Mine Engineer for Cripple Creek and Victor Mine in Colorado until November 2017 and more recently held the role of Underground Operations Superintendent for the Pumpkin Hollow copper mine in Nevada.
Jake earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering from Colorado School of Mines.
Ed Rosol
Project Manager - Mine Operations
Ed Rosol has over 25 years of experience on various construction-related sites, managing projects as well as operations in Mining, Oil, and Gas industries. Prior to joining OceanaGold in March 2022, he worked primarily as an expatriate oversees for international and multinational companies at greenfield and brownfield assignments in six countries. Mr. Rosol is highly committed to safety and financial responsibility, and has a proven record of successful planning, implementation, evaluation and management of various capital projects.
Reegan Kerkin
People and Culture Manager
Reegan Kerkin brings extensive People & Culture experience to Haile, with a strong background in organizational transformation, recruitment and strategic leadership. Since joining OceanaGold, she has led key improvements to recruitment processes and transformation initiatives at OceanaGold's Didipio Mine. Known for her strategic approach and commitment to excellence, Reegan has helped drive positive change across the organization. She joined Haile in 2025 from OceanaGold’s Brisbane office, bringing valuable global experience and a strong focus on supporting people and business performance.
Lawrence Goss
Manager, Strategic Projects and Water Management
Lawrence Goss is a mining hydrogeologist with more than 30 years of experience in the mining industry and has been with Haile since 2019. His career includes work at metals mining operations in Nevada and Montana, as well as managing regional groundwater and geology programs at a phosphate mining complex in Central Florida. Lawrence specializes in mine dewatering, artificial recharge, pumping system analysis and water balance modeling. He holds a B.S. in Earth Sciences–Geohydrology from Montana State University and an M.S. in Geosciences–Hydrogeology from Montana Tech.
