Haile Gold Mine joined other companies from the local community May 6 during Kershaw Elementary’s Vehicle Day. The annual event allows employees to talk about the jobs that they do while showing off vehicles and equipment used to perform their jobs.
Haile’s Mine Rescue team brought the rescue truck and demonstrated the use of air packs and other emergency response equipment. The Mine Rescue team is trained in all areas of incident response for the mine site, including fire, underground search and rescue, vertical rope rescue, extraction measures, hazardous material response, and medical and accident response.
