Haile Gold Mine honored two Kershaw couples on Feb. 14, 2023 that have demonstrated special love for one another and active involvement in the area.
Scott and Tiffany Whaley were selected as this year’s Valentines Sweetheart Couple. The Whaleys were nominated through a contest hosted by Haile and selected by staff at the mine based on their demonstration of love and active community involvement. We also chose to recognize another couple with a unique love story.
Faye Murphy and Rondall Ussery are in their 80s but found companionship three years ago when Faye’s daughter helped arrange a date. Faye and Rondall have known one another for 60 years but recently lost their spouses to cancer.
Congratulations, Sweetheart Couples!
