On Saturday, October 13, 2018, OceanaGold’s Haile Gold Mine hosted a Family Day at the Goodwill Plantation, located along the Wateree River Heritage Reserve in South Carolina. The heritage reserve includes land donated to the state of South Carolina as part of Haile’s initial permitting process to begin operations in 2016.

To celebrate our employees and thank them for their hard work, Haile provided a day of fun activities, food and fellowship for all team members and their families.

Children enjoyed pumpkin painting, outdoor games, face painting, balloon art, hayrides, “mining for gold,” and much more.

Nearly 200 people enjoyed the day. Thank you again to all of our exceptional employees for their efforts and for contributing to a safe and enjoyable workplace!
